David’s practice focuses on advising and
representing small businesses and individuals in business
transactions, employment law matters, and legislative affairs. His
legal experience and interests include:
• Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing technology, commercial
finance, real estate, and other business transactions.
• Counseling clients regarding a variety of employment law
matters: drafting and reviewing employment policies, handbooks, and
agreements; investigating claims of discrimination, harassment, and
wrongful termination; and representing clients in early dispute
resolution—where appropriate—before formal litigation ensues.
• Advocating for clients at all levels of local and state
government regarding development, revision, and implementation of
laws affecting small businesses, employment, transportation, and the
environment.
Prior to joining Peterson Russell Kelly in 2006, David was an
associate with the Seattle office of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP and
counsel with the Washington State House of Representatives.
